An Infographic to market the Phoenix Zoowalk for Autism Research

Client

Phoenix Zoo

Location

Phoenix, USA

Because I have a child with autism, I knew this product would contain limited information. Although designed for parents, little eyes that cannot read will enjoy the photo and colorful graphics. The targeted audience will also enjoy its small size and lack of wasted space.

I used Photoshop and Illustrator from Adobe to create each of the graphics. The photo of children playing at a previous event carried a Creative Commons license, so it could be used without copyright infringement. The challenge was to get all the items in the small space available, yet still make them legible.

It was important to include the statistics that show how cases of autism are increasing yearly. The chart I created clearly shows those numbers with just a glance. The logo at the top of the infographic is an adaptation of their existing material. The entire color palette was carefully chosen for this precise audience. The fact is most people with autism become overstimulated by colors that are too bright or intense.
