There are two unique parts to this project; A historical report and a presentation. The greatest challenge of this project was to reduce 25,000 words of text to fit within a few slides.

The harmless diminutive satellite is astounding because it so profoundly changed the United States. The fear of communists having a military advantage became palpable viewing these pieces of history. Learning that the “Red Scare” began in October or 1957 was a stunning revelation.
Declassified documents are available online without leaving home. It is like holding a piece of history in your hand. Viewing top-secret government documents was a first for me.
